Appropriately for Women’s History Month, female-led NuContext, helmed by executive producer and founder Angela Guice, produced ABC’s campaign for the 94th annual Academy Awards. The show is hosted this year by three women: Regina Hall, Amy Schumer and Wanda Sykes. It’s the first time the Oscars have had any hosts since 2018 when Jimmy Kimmel hosted.
“This is a historic moment for the Oscars and we didn’t take it lightly that this campaign was produced by a female-led production company,” Guice said. “It was a lot of girl power on set.”
Besides the above spot, NuContext also produced the electronic press kit and social media assets as well as production support for the key art, which was shot by Art Streiber in conjunction with the ABC photography department.

Shot two days before the Oscars in the iconic Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, this year’s contestants on American Idol got the platform of a lifetime by appearing in a Queen-inspired promo during the Academy Awards. Covering the Queen tune “Don’t Stop Me Now,” this year’s crop of crooners participated in a continuous shot video that took them through an elevator, dressing and green rooms before ending up on a rooftop stage.

We partnered with Amazon Prime Video to launch The Outlaws, an unexpected partnership of Stephen Merchant, the co-creator of The Office (UK), and Elgin James, the co-creator of The Mayans M.C.
Equal parts high stakes action, drama, and absurd comedy, The Outlaw’s mixture of genres was a tricky, but fun balancing act.
Inspired by the location, graffiti-style freeze frames were used to graphically id the large group of characters in the ensemble.
Our trailer dropped March 2nd and immediately picked up positive buzz.
