2C Creative | Oxygen Heads To The ATL For Real Murders

Miami-based creative agency 2C 2.0 takes viewers on a tour of Atlanta while introducing them to Oxygen’s latest true-crime seres, The Real Murders of Atlanta.

In the nearly six-minute sneak peek featurette, viewers visit with Drew Sidora, one of the stars of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta, who discusses the current state of the Southern city. The featurette is hosted by correspondent Stephanie Gomulka, who talks with several denizens of the city.

“Atlanta [has] been carrying the torch of what change looks like in our Black culture. I mean, from politics to music to entertainment, [we’re] the epicenter,” says Sidora in the piece. “There has been a lot of lost hope, and so emotional instability is real. And now, instead of us being able to uplift one another, we are very critical of one another. [We] are hurting as a community and we’re crying out through violence.”

With this series’ focus on Atlanta, Oxygen aims to draw back the curtain on one of the U.S.’ more unique cultural meccas.

“Recent headlines have been a reminder that the media hyper-focuses on a certain type of victim. We want to tell the stories of Black victims and hear from their families,” said Oxygen Creative Director Andrew Killoy in a statement. “This is an opportunity to tell those untold stories to an audience that wants to see justice for all.”

“We’re always excited to take on new projects with Oxygen,” said 2C 2.0 President and Owner Chris Sloan, also in a statement. “They set the industry standard for true-crime storytelling, and with series like The Real Murders of Atlanta, they’re not only raising that standard in delivering stories for a more diverse and representative audience, but also giving us an opportunity to collaborate on something really cool.”

New episodes of The Real Murders of Atlanta air Sundays at 8/7 c on Oxygen.
